Her parents asked me to design the birth announcement for Tommie (a sweet baby girl determined to become an amazing human, not a princess). They had the Elbow’s song “Magnificent” in mind which is about a little girl standing in the sand, wrapping her arms around the world.
Hallo lieve Tommie, graphically in a sphere shape…like the world of the little girl Elbow sings about. On the inside left the song tekst with a moon shape. On the right a white circle with info about Tommie. The moon, the circle and the world are all the same size, which gives a great effect when you open the card.
On the back in small, 3 icon references to give the card an extra personal touch. Waves (from the flag of Zeeland where her dad is from), a part of the Lowlands logo (a music festival where mom an dad fell in love) and a birdhouse (mom and dads first house was in the neighbourhood called Vogeldorp = Bird village)
All this in three colours, soft and fresh but not too sweet.
