This specialty coffee bar wanted a clean and simplistic logo. The “o” of Bonsai changes into a coffee cup from which steam comes out, that steam is also the trunk of a bonsai.
The cup from which to grow the good vibes for the rest of your day. Just as the roots of the tree get strength from the earth, people get strength from the coffee of Bonsai. The O loose becomes a characteristic icon which is reflected in other expressions.
A firm but subtle typo next to the round cup provides a good balance.
